Our group found when working with the cool morph beads it is best to heat them up in the very hot water but before you work with them dump the water out of the container. They cool down faster once out of the water and are more manageable quicker. The popsicle sticks provided did not work well for removing the melted substance as they acted like melted cheese with long strings of material keeping them attached to the rest of the materials. Once the water was removed we waited about 2-3 minutes and I was able to use my hands to get the globs of material out and into balls for the students. We also found that when the material started getting too hard to mold you can simply dip it back into hot water for a few minutes which will make it pliable again. It is also a good idea to pick up a couple of pairs of rubber gloves (available at the dollar store) for those scouts who do not like the feel of the sticky glob.
